Graduates Gettings >$100000 Base Salary?!
I was going through my school's graduate survey of 2008 (undergrad business school) and some kids are scoring >$100,000 base salary. I'd imagine they're working at places like Silver Lake or other PE shops?? What other companies offer that much money for graduates and how do you get a job like that?
PE shops, hedge funds will offer bases like that (ive heard of bases of ~120 for a couple PE/hedge funds like Bridgewater)
I know in the past Bridgewater and Citadel have paid a salary of 100,000 or greater to college graduates.
shaw pays 100k+ base as well.
i've heard of a prop shop paying a 100k base to a new grad.
Silver Lake pays 100K to first year analysts out of college? Can anyone confirm that?
If you work for your dad's company or something, you can get a base as big as you like.
Silver Lake is 80K Base, 80K "Guaranteed Bonus". Not sure how much weight to put on the guaranteed bonus.
Bridgewater pays 100K base, you get a car and a housing stipend. But its miserable. A friend just got an offer there.
In terms of how to get a job? They heavily recruit on campus and he was an Engineering/Econ major, was part of a fraternity and went to Deerfield.
He's not stupid, but he definitely didn't have the greatest grades in the world - I'm assuming he was able to do some networking.
You get a car and a housing stipend? What a joke - you should check your facts on that.
That was for the intern program, my mistake. I'm not sure if its for full-time.
Thats standard amongst a lot of firms though. I know Louis-Dreyfus did that for a friend of mine, and another guy I know did a program with Morgan Stnaley and they put him up in the King's College student/intern housing building with other kids from our school.
You're all idiot, forgetting RenTech. OP, you must be kinda screwed in the head, b/c you posted this in the ibanking forum, when NO ibanks pay near to 100K. Should be moved to PE/HF forum.
Like your other post is relevant to investment banking. //www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/biggest-doucheaccepting-nominations
Oh, excuse me for tryna liven up the ibanking forum.
