GS has two investment
GS has two investment management divisions: PWM and AM. I know that PWM is shit, but I think AM should be a bit better - though I'm not sure how much better. JPM's Investment Management pays pretty well...
The girl that I spoke with who's doing this says that her hours are pretty bad (-midnight or later), but that she gets weekends off.

GSAM is mostly clients'
GSAM is mostly clients' kids. A friend of mine is a MD's daughter there. The daughter didn't want to go to pwm for that reason and applied to something else.
It's like sales and trading with less math. It's certainly a respectable position (It goes Investment Management Division > PWM or GSAM fyi) though.
