How to note firm was acquired?
I'm not sure how to note/format this on my resume and would appreciate any help.
I was hired by company X. Soon after I started, company Y acquired company X. Who do I list as my employer on my resume? Which should it be?
1) Company X (acquired by Company Y)
2) Company Y (formerly Company X)
3) just Company X
4) etc.
Also, my work was related to the acquisition and want to note this in a bullet, but if i choose option 1 or 2 above, how can I phrase (the bullet and/or the title of my employer) so as to not be repetitive?

I saw one MD list the former firm by it's original name after he left, I would do that.
