How wrong is this on a scale of 1-10

Some of the online internship applications ask for overall GPA - my cumulative GPA sucks (3.3) because I did nothing freshman year however I have managed to keep all my major classes (econ, finance, accounting etc) at a 3.9 - would it be wrong for me to fill this out as overall GPA?

I probably already know the answer to this but I can't help but think as soon as a recruiter sees a sub-par GPA and non-target my application will go in the scrap paper box.

~9.6.

-0.4 because online apps are somewhat useless anyway - (hopefully) the resume GPA would hold more weight than the overall that you have to, truthfully, put in there.

Never going to work. Unfortunately your G.P.A. is going to restrict you from getting interviews at banks that place a heavy weight on G.P.A. I suggest you move on and not waste your time with that application.
