I want to trade - what area is this?
So I work at the BO of a brokerage and it kills me seeing those guys in the FO talking about the markets and when ever I head over there I see tons of computer and guys trading.
Guys, like most of you here, I want to trade. But I don't want to trade with client's money, I want to trade with the bank's.
Question: what area can I trade with the banks money?
Sales and trading?
Yes I've tried to google it, but looking for trading I've gotten a lot of responses from google like AM and PE.
My contract is almost up in a couple of months and I need to start looking.

This is called prop (proprietary) trading and post volcker/new regulations there are few prop desks at banks. Bluntly put, you have almost no shot at making those desks out of BO.
