I'm I Wasting my Time? Honest advice please...

I've been reading and doing a lot of research preparing myself for ib interviews, the more research I do the less confident I feel of my chances. I come from a non-target school, I'm sure no one here has ever heard of it. I have an F and two Cs on my transcript. I do have a finance internship at a fortune 10 company, but it’s not a bank and not in corp fin. My gpa is a 3.5 with my major gpa at a 3.7. Considering the fierce competition for ib positions what do my chances look like?

To be honest, you're in trouble. I wouldn't drop out of the game just yet, but I think you may have to rely heavily on luck and connections. Nothing says you can't apply to banking jobs and other ones at the same time though.

Goodluck.

Yea I'm sure I can get a position at the fortune 10 I'm at now. IB has just been my goal, but I messed up with my grades early on.

nothing

nothing is impossible man. it might sound all airy fairy, but at the end of it, if you put all your heart into it, nothing can stop you from getting it. just don't doubt it, leave no room for doubt, burn those boats...

Which non-target? Give a range of schools.

if your bad grades were all

if your bad grades were all in your first year of uni, should still have a chance. i was told by my associate (in charge of screening new grad CVs) that she always look for more "A"s than "B"s in a transcript.
saying that, she also told me that she'll always have a couple of wildcards to the 1st round for people with bad grads, but somehow exceptional in other areas.
