Tangentially related, but in the late 90s you had to take an ethics test after you held your Series 3 for six months. I took it and aced it, because you'd have to be a fucking troglodyte not to. But I later found out my firm photocopied my answer sheet and handed it out to everyone who had to take it after me. Nice ethics, huh?
I'm not greedy to the point of pushing the envelope into "federal indictment crooked" territory, but I'm completely comfortable with "is wealthy but has been banned from industry" territory.
If you're talented there is always room in industry for you. Brain Hunter (guy that gets blamed for blowing up Amaranth) has a new fund, The kid that made trades every 7.5 seconds while drunk (but turned a profit) got picked up in an unlicensed position after MS let him go (Link: http://www.news.com.au/business/worklife/drunk-tra... ). You just have to be good enough for people to over look your faults.
I took this an actually failed (one point away from a Pass grade). Do you guys know if this matters at all ot is it simply a matter of taking it until you pass?

This reminds me of that test you have to take to be a cop. Where if you score too high you are auto dinged.
Hi do you know what to do next? I failed the exam and have my Unit1 exam on Monday..not sure what to do now..Its a weekend can't contact my employer or trainer.
Hi all, i took the test 3 times and actually failed with the same grade (18). Do u know similar cases? I suspect the system is blocked on the first mark.. I had the feeling that I did well. I m looking forward to hearing from u thanks a lot
It's actually quite a challenging test because out of one answer being a complete piss take, the other two are close.
I think the FCA website has a series of guides with other examples. Spend some time looking at them.
On a general note, the CISI website and the test portal is ABSOLUTE SHITE. People fail randomly, questions don't come up, the test ends early and so on.
Do you know what the pass mark is and what the procedure is for retaking?
I would hazard a guess that it's 20.
You need to email them to reset it. Depending on the bank, you might have a set number of tries before they pull the job offer;
I agree with u I looked at the examples etc...it s becoming a real Pblm,,I ll call the CISI to have a check on the answers.. Have u heard about similar cases? Many thanks
To check what answers? If you work through the case studies, you get better at choosing the correct answer.

About to sit this pretty soon. Apart from the workshop, I can't seem to find any other practice materials, notably the PDFs mentioned above on the FCA website?
