Investment Analyst role at hospital system

Hey guys, a follow up post to a previous thread. Currently a second year analyst at a relative value institutional asset manager (65 billion aum). I'm interested in getting involved with hospital financing and am wondering what you guys think of this opportunity. Is it akin to corporate finance, or would it be pretty much Asset Management for the institution? Would it be wise to stay off of the hospital path? You can Google the job description if you'd like....here is an abridged version:

Investment Analyst-
Job Description
Works under the guidance of investment officers. Primary duties are to prepare investment analyses and reports and assist with external manager monitoring. Will also assist senior members of the investment team with research on new investment opportunities and due diligence on potential new investment managers. Will attend the bi-weekly portfolio management meetings at which the investment staff discusses investment strategy, develops manager allocation plans, and sets investment committee agendas. The IA is invited to sit in on most meetings with current and prospective investment managers visiting the institution.

Thanks for the input.

Have applied to a similar position and am wondering if this is fully an asset allocation role that is more like a LP or is there still a direct investing component like a GP would have (making it a mixed role LP + GP)? Role description says that we will be investing out of multiple different funds for the hospital system.

It really bothers me that posts like ‘Things to do as a high schooler’ are getting constant hits while very few respond to people that are looking for advice in unique situations that really matter for our careers. The guy who created the thread 10 years ago didn’t get any responses so maybe I’m the crazy one to expect any legit responses now
