I was wondering how much do Investment bank analyst make in canada. In places like Vancouver BC. I heard that investment bank analysts make between 65-90k first year. Is that true for canada as well.

You need to do a lot more research with the search function and FAQs. Then, read through everything on Mergersandinquisitions.com. Then, read all of the recommended books, and buy interview guides.

-1st year BB/Elite boutique IBD analyst salary- 70k base + 10k sign on + 55k year end. Regional boutiques pay far less, location plays a smaller role, and bonuses are relative to economic modality.

-To answer your last post, you won't be working 9-5... More like 9am-2am every day, plus weekends.

1) Transfer schools (semi/target in the U.S. w/ good OCR)
2) Change major to finance & econ
3) Extra Curriculars + 3.5-3.8 GPA
4) Sophomore year PWM or AM internships at BB
5) Network (cold email + cold call)
6) Junior year BB or elite boutique IB SA
7) FT offer
8) 2+2= PE
9) President or w/e
10) Profit

On top of that it is worth considering the exit opps for analysts at regional banks...are there any? Most likely would end up in small wealth management type operations?
