Investment Banking vs Asset Management
I'm in my first year of underdrad, and want to know what path I should take by the time I finish my degree.
The way I see it, AM would let me get more involved and have more responsibilities. I essentially just want to spend the first years of my career to get as much experience as possible, before I take it from there, so having less starting salary than IB wont matter to me.
My end goal is to end up in PE or HF, so I need to consider which path would let me transition into one of them in the end.
Is AM a good bet, or should I go for IB?
