IT Consulting to Consulting Firm
Hi all,
Currently I work in IT consulting for a particular software company. I have about two years of experience in IT consulting, but I am not wanting to stay in such a specialized field, as we only work with one (our own) product.
What are your guys' tips for getting out of this and into a general consulting firm? I graduated with a 3.6 GPA from a non-target public school, so I know I'm at a disadvantage there. What positions would you recommend I look for, and is it possible at all to still get an entry-level job with a consulting firm even though I have been out of school for 2 years? As sad as it sounds, my salary right now is about equal to what an entry-level person would get at an Accenture or Deloitte.
Thanks, guys-
