on a further note, anyone deciding between offers would be stupid to let these first year salaries determine which company they choose. first year salary should be insignificant in comparison to your salary/bonus after 3 years.

they've promised a friend quite a bit more than 85k for first year salary. however, 80k is the base they advertise.

DRW is 65k base + 5k signing. FNYS is 60k base. Trillium/Chimera are about 26k base.

i think schonfeld is a parent organization or in some way related to trillium, so it probably also pays 26k

Remember that Philadelphia's COL is much lower than New York. I would be interested to hear if anyone knows about Wolverine also.

Trillium is $500/wk (basically 26k/year) until either your one year anny or you make 100k for your acct, whichever comes first.

Just got hired as an intern and was wondering if anyone knew why the base for traders is so low?

Jane street I heard is 60K + 60K Bonus on average. However most (if not all) of the full-time hires were summer interns first.
