Has anybody here attended the LSE Asia Investment Banking Conference? What did you think of it?
I've gained admission to the conference, and now I'm thinking about whether or not to attend. I hope to use the conference in order to build my network and seek out job opportunities - I'm a rising senior in undergrad, so I'd be hoping to land interviews for full time entry-level positions (in Hong Kong, and the rest of Asia). Do you think that's something I'll be able to do at the conference?
Also, is anyone else on here attending this year's conference?

I've been to the one held in 2012; happy to ans any question you may have.
Generally, I find it insightful and the invited speakers were all great. There's many networking opportunities, that's without a doubt. Not so sure about the possibility of landing an interview offer from it though.

I've been in Hong Kong for two years for study in the past and I'm returning right before the conference for another year so I'm going. I've never been though but from the agenda, it definitely looks worthwhile.
So, where will be traveling from?
Shatin, New Territories here. The MTR is really convenient so I recommend taking that from whatever hotel you're at. It beats spending a load on a taxi.

I just got an invite to attend the LSEAIBC 2013 in Hong Kong, and I was wondering if any of you will be attending it? This is the first time I have every registered for such an event, and I've heard mixed reviews about it.
The price tag isn't inexpensive and it doesn't cover accommodation so it may be a little hefty for me as a student to attend. Do any of you have any feedback regarding past AIBCs or similar events, recommending it or otherwise? Let me know please!
