McKinsey Recruiting
This past spring, I went through the recruiting process with McK for a summer internship and made it to the final round, but did not get an offer. Still, the partner who interviewed me told me that I did well and even took me out to lunch several weeks afterwords to give advice on how to do better in the future.
I just got an e-mail telling me that McK wants to "stay in touch" over the summer and offered me a full time interview next fall.
My questions are:
1) Where in the recruitment process does this put me? Will I start over in the first round? Will I go straight to the decision round? If it matters, McK DOES NOT recruit on my campus directly.
2) I took the McK PST at my first round interview and presumably passed to make it to the final round, so I won't have to take it again, right?
I would particularly appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar position.
Thanks!

I think u start at first round. What it does mean though is that u have a slight leg up over others. But, you still have to do very well in the interview - this is McKinsey we're talking about.
you were doing something right
