Mckinsey Singapore vs OW/Booz NY vs Bernstein NY

Hi all,

Just looking for help in deciding my preferences here. Unfortunately Mck NY is not willing to interview me.

My friends in Mck Singapore have informed me that getting staffed on projects in NY is uncommon and moving from Singapore to NY within Mck is again not very common.

Is it very difficult to move from Booz to Mck within NY? How much importance should i give to geography vs reputation?

Also how about Bernstein NY? I love investing and long term would love to move to a PE/long short fundamentals investing fund - should i start my career at a strong ER house then? Does the ER experience trump the networking/brand name advantages of the consulting offers?

Out of curiosity, what hiring cycle are you on? I've never heard people making decisions in June - unless you're a lateral hire of course.
