Off-Cycle Analyst Interview

Hey guys,

I've got an interview this coming week at a great boutique. The interview is for a full time analyst role. It's off cycle as they have had more deals than expected coming in, and recently lost an analyst early. My background is a BB IBD internship as well as one at a HF.

I have been through plenty of on cycle analyst interviews, but I don't really know what to expect for this one. I'll be at the office for about 5 hours.

Should I expect some type of case study or modeling test? Or do you guys think it will be a pretty normal interview experience consistent with most interviews for FT roles out of undergrad?

Thanks in advance

Obviously expect anything but don't psyche yourself out. I've heard of some doing a modeling test and others no test. Either way as mentioned above be yourself.

How intense are the modeling tests usually for IB analyst candidates? I've never been through one so I don't know what to expect in the event that it happened.

"Now that I think about it...I never actually know when you guys are here in the office. Kind of like furniture...I just assume."
