Oil & Energy Banking
Hey everyone,
I am going to be a junior next year out in California. I come from an oil background and am looking to get into energy banking. Which BB banks are the best in this sector?

Credit Suisse and Barclays come to mind.
It depends on how you define 'best.' I would advice you to go to your b-school library and look up the league tables on bloomberg.
From what I know, Simmons and Company is a good place. They call themselves the investment bankers of the energy industry.
Yeah, I know Simmons and a couple other Houston banks are good. I'm going to contact them soon.

Houston is the place if you want to do oil & gas banking. Barclays is one of the strongest BB...Scotia Waterous, Simmons, Tudor Pickering are pretty solid for boutiques.
