Osama Pictures - Agree?

What do you guys think? Heard quite a lot from various political commentators.

Personally, agree that the pics could be potential propaganda for extremists but Obama has left himself open for questions. Thoughts? (Apologies if already posted, couldn't find any thread)

He's dead. I really don't think the US would try to pull a publicity stunt like that for the simple fact that if i were Osama and i were still alive, i would send a video straight to al jazeera with both middle fingers in the air saying, "look how your country lied to you."

Here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, you are the sucker.

What does it really matter? So many people in this country waste their time worrying about irrelevant topics that it just speaks to the ignorance and incredulous nature of Americans. First, we demanded to see our presidents birth certificate and now we demand to see photos of a dead terrorist. Just as the events surrounding his "death" are fabricated, so can photoshopped photos of a man who has been wanted for 10 years.

I want a pic of Osama not only dead, but also with a giant tube going from his ass to his mouth. Or maybe A2A with some other terrorist, requiem for a dream style; or at least wrapped in bacon

His body is getting WAY too much f-ing respect, and frankly I think it as an encouragement for future terrorists. I think the LEAST Osama deserves is getting buried with a pig's dick in his mouth

More is good, all is better

^^^Are you serious??

I find it outrageous that the american masses demand photographs of Osama's actual death, yet we demand no proof that he was actually behind the cause of 9/11, 99% of the people in this country are glued to the television screens watching worthless nonsense like reality television and foxnews that they find it appalling to accept any other view that is expressed in mainstream media. The ignorance and intolerance that mainstream media perpetuates and glorifies should be cause for a revolution in of itself.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but until someone actually has eyewitness account of him plotting the attacks of 9/11, we have NO proof. Its the same argument we have for his death-NO PROOF. There are eyewitness accounts of every other insiduous attack on any group of people dating back to the beginning of time, yet all we have are videos and published reports from the government. It's mindboggling how many people in our country have not even ventured to visit, much less understand the world beyond our borders.

Let the shit throwing commence

Um... Osama made multiple public statements claiming credit for 9/11. I don't think at any point in 10 years he was like: guys, I didn't do it!

Also I do not watch tv

agree completely. 99.9% of people in america are sheep. they will believe anything the govt tells them. its disgusting.Aside from the whole "we finally caught him" ordeal (which is a complete farce/govt conjured story) I guess people will start thinking for themselves when they realize 401ks are worthless, their savings accounts never accrued any interest due to inflation over the course of their lifetime, and the homes they worked all their life for now have very little value. This country has made very little progress in real growth due to the monetary policies. Its all false perceptions and i think a very small amount of people are starting to realize this now. Most people think that everything is fine and dandy, well its not. surprises are right around the corner :) let the shit flinging ensue.

Doesn't matter who actually caused 9/11, all anyone had to do was come forth and claim to be the culprit

The whole thing will be a conspiracy theory till the end of time.

doesnt mean shit. us gov funds al-CIA-da....this is WELL known.

heres a couple million, we need you to put out a video acknowledging BL death. anddd in that video youre going to need to say something about retaliation so that we have a reason to spend more on nat'l defense and private companies get plennnty of contracts for them to make profits. How else would these companies survive? They THRIVE on war and terror.

there were many clear incentives for the govt to create a fictional story like this. 1. inflationary consumer prices 2. very low pres rating 3. skyrocketing gasoline So, cui bono?

what do you think is going to happen to markets when QE stops? theyre going to crash....

Strongly disagree with the decision. Despite what people may claim, actually seeing a real photo of the bastard dead would bring closure to people who have been waiting for this, including the families of the 9/11 dead. This is not about conspiracy theories - I have no doubt that he really is dead, but I want to rejoice in seeing a bullet in his head.

This whole thing smacks of political elitism. I decide what is too "gruesome" for myself to view, not the "cool heads" in government - what does "cool heads" even mean?? The only justification for not releasing information is national security - and this is not really the case here, no matter how you try to spin it. I fail to see how releasing pictures would create significant incremental danger. Whether you supported bin Laden or despised him, seeing a picture of his death will not change anything. Among those who are actually willing to blow themselves up, Al Qaeda can recruit just as readily with a picture of him smiling.

Furthermore, why are we being so careful with this to avoid people hating us? News flash: they hate us anyway. They hate us when we support rebels in Libya, when we support Israel, when we fly our drones. So fuck "them" and let's appease our actual citizens, the majority of which want to see these pictures, over appeasing our enemies. I don't remember them hesitating to release videos of our troops and citizens being beheaded.

Gen. Stanley McChrystal gave a talk at Oxford a few days ago. Someone asked about the photos. McChrystal said that he agreed with the decision not to release the photos, because, even though Bin Laden was a terrorist and mass murderer, a soldier still owes his enemy respect in death. Sometimes, soldiers have to kill people, but when they do, he said, they shouldn't gloat about it, and nor should their political masters, or civilians back home. Evil terrorist though Bin Laden was, he was still a human being. His concluding sentence was 'I stopped celebrating people's deaths a long time ago.'

I agree with him 100%.

What was really needed was a terrorist style execution broadcast live on tv. If members of the seal team had dressed up like terrorists and excuted bin laden live on tv, terrorists networks all around the world would be freaking out and not knowing who to trust would tun on themselves and just implode taking care of the problem.
