Raymond James Exit Ops 2017
Hey everyone,
I've used the search function but could not find any updated information pertaining to the exit ops available to Raymond James IBD analysts. I've looked around on LinkedIn as well, but I'm curious to reach out to the users on here to gain some more info. Has anyone had any personal experiences moving around from RJ, or know of anyone who has? Particularly looking for PE/HF opportunities.
Thanks guys

A few of my buddies work there. I'd suggest you take the LinkedIn route as most people there seem to be friendly. Most exit ops, from what my buddies tell me, consist of lower MM PE, FoF, corporate finance, etc. A few have placed into more prestigious MM PE shops, but definitely not like Baird or Blair place.
Thanks for the reply Sil. Which office are your friends from?
Curious about this too.
PE exit opps for Raymond James (Originally Posted: 04/20/2013)
Hey! I'm going to be applying for a summer analyst job at Raymond James IBD (specifically the ATL branch) next summer. I was just wondering if you knew what types of private equity firms many RJ analysts get into after finishing 2-year IBD analyst stints. Anybody know?
Get an offer first?

Dude, are you serious? Even if Raymond James analysts only had exit opportunities at McDonald's (they do not), it would not matter since you do not even have an offer from them. A two minute search on WSO would tell you that Raymond James is a respected MM bank.
I've networked with some key people in a certain branch.
They already hired summer analysts.
Thread makes me laugh.
raymond james isnt a heavy hitter in terms of exit opps to PE. maybe some small lower middle market funds in the south region. gonna be tough but need to network and do well. id suggest lateraling
Do you have any idea of the exit opportunities for their northern offices? At least to relative to other MM banks?
northern offices are worse than their southern offices. in relation to other mm banks, its pretty tough
