anybody work for them? what's it like? have they done any deals recently?

They've done a lot of deals
They've done a lot of deals in a short amount of time. It'll be a powerhouse one day--a buddy of mine lateraled from a BB and he said the guys he works with are all f*cking smart w/ (needless to say) the senior guys being some hitters.
Lots of hours, but pay is guaranteed top of the street, like UBS LA.
wow.
nt
im interviewing
have an interview with them for an analyst position. WOuld love it if anyone knows what the recruit process is like/selectivity of the place
livin large in miami
Pretty Selective
My friend who summered there said everyone was close to the top of their class (3.7+ GPA, Jerome Fisher Wharton Students). Business Majors tend to fair better.
Very technical interviews, large fit component as well as it is a smaller office. Is this for lateral or straight into 2007 Class?

how did he get an internship, if the company just formed in June this year?

My fault ....

ah gotcha
So perella weinberg has a
So perella weinberg has a careers section and a contact for resumes and cover letters...but does anyone know what they are actually doing / whether they are going to hire summer analysts or did hire FT analysts this fall? I don't know of any deals they've done, and the stuff on their news page is just about talent they've brought in. However -- there is a lot of talent, some 15 odd partners and maybe twice that many 'professionals' or whatever they call the next rung position. You'd think they'll need people willing to run numbers night and day.
Did I completely fail in my
Did I completely fail in my attempt to bring this post back to life?
I've heard they run a tight
I've heard they run a tight ship in terms of extremely lean deal teams etc. They said in their on-campus presentation that the NYC office has less than 60 people and that includes everybody from Joe Perella on down the totem pole to the secretaries, so you do the math: hands down best pay on the street + big names + small staff = uber selective in my book, especially in terms of 1st year analysts.
my friend interned as a SA
my friend interned as a SA at ML LA and then signed with perella NY for full time cuz she wanted to be in NY. we're both graduating seniors at Univ. of Southern California.
