Project Management Group
I was recently contacted to interview with a consulting firm in their Healthcare Project Management Group. The firm has approx 6-7 solutions that are on site during the engagement and apparently the project mgmt group is responsible for managing all the groups and being the go-between with the exec mgmt team.
When I think of consulting I think of being a subject matter expert and applying that knowledge toward solutions for the client, not project management. Is this a lesser role within the consulting world?
PMO life can be thankless.
One of my parents works in this industry and it is a relatively well paid job for the work you do. My parent makes six figures and works 40 hrs per week, however he often complains about the inefficiencies that go with working in the medical world
Do you know how the pay compares to a "regular" consultant in your parents firm?
hmm well my parent works at a hospital now(doing project management), but he use to work at a small healthcare consulting firm and made prob 200k/year in his early 30s
