Pros and Cons of Spring vs Fall semester undergrad
Hey all. I'm ex-military, and preparing for the admissions process for either the spring or fall 2013 semesters. I was dead set on fall 2013, but recently learned of a target school with later spring admission dates than most. I'm wondering what differences there were between the two when it comes to building a resume and landing jobs in IB. The biggest thing I see is that the IB recruiting circuit seems to be very time sensitive. Most of the recruiting for FT and intern positions is for fall students to start the summer after graduation.
Is there a decent amount of internships and OCR available to fit the timeframe of those enrolled in the spring, or do I need to go in the fall to meet the banks deadlines? I'm aiming to get a PWM internship my 1st year, and then IBD at the most reputable bank I can get an offer at each year after that. Anything else I should be considering before deciding? Thanks.
Hello!
Im in a very similar position, but for me it applies to Europe. I would really appreciate some input on this subject, since it would help me out alot.
Thanks! //Josh

Generally on how banks would handle spring week and summer internship applications,if I would start Universities during spring 2013 instead of Fall 2013.
