R. W. Baird & Co. Summer Analyst interview. Please help!

I have a phone interview coming up with R. W. Baird & Co. for their Investment Banking Summer Analyst program.

I hear they can do up to 2 phone interviews before inviting candidates to Superdays.

I was wondering if anyone knows the nature of these interviews? Mine is with an analyst and he has asked to set up a time to 'discuss my resume'.

Any advice?

I would guess that your going to be asked about your resume.

You should already know your resume inside out. If you have previous experience related to finance he might dig further into that.

I don't know if this is the point where you get the "walk me through your resume" question but I would be ready for that.

Other than that maybe "why banking" "why us" and standard behavioural questions would be my best guess.

Good luck.

From my experience, the first interview is just about your resume and As Senior Monkey mentioned, why IB, Why us, and some other fit questions.

After that, I was reached out by another analyst a few days later for another phone interview, which consisted of walking him through my resume again and some tech questions too. Then you hear back for Superday invites.

I would be prepared though, because there is always more than one analyst that conduct the first phone interviews, and they may not all follow the same approach, so you may get tech questions in your first one. Each interview lasted about 30-45 minutes.
