Lol, no, seriously. The first names to spring in mind are Bloomberg, again bloomberg, than Reuters, CapitalIQ, Factset ... I am sure that people with more insight can chime in,
Ahh, the ole laugh at your own joke post. Classic

Research Platforms/Software? (Originally Posted: 07/13/2012)
I'm currently working for a small investment management company. They're trying to implement some sort of platform or software that will give them real-time quotes and allow them to export to excel.
They want to keep overhead as low as possible, so Bloomberg, CapIQ, etc. are out of the question.
Any suggestions?
What about running off a simple cost brokerage? A lot of them have real time data for Excel, etc.
Interactive Brokers is pretty good.
Thanks for the comments. Any other experienced veterans out there have a comment? We're looking to implement some new research materials in our office and I need an education on worthwhile programs. Thank you!
