Resume Review (Freshman)

Hey everyone,

I was wondering what I should cut out from this resume - it's currently font size 9.5, I think there's way too much on it right now especially as a freshman. Also any general advice about formatting, content, what to do this summer, etc. would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would advise that you cut down on or remove completely the section regarding the Model UN. You have several much more relevant EC's and as it stands you have no room to elaborate on your most current professional experience. The space would be better served if allocated to the professional experience and more relevant EC items. Also maybe remove the trance music from interests, and try to get the activities section down to one line. Just my 2 cents.

CorpFinHopeful that makes sense I'll definitely try to do that. Any particular reason to remove trance music? I'm guessing it's too generic?

Stryfe I have a lot of AP credits and I took college classes while I was in high school. > 60 credit hours = Junior here and I have more than that.

Any other comments? Much appreciated.

I would remove trance music specifically, as it isn't all that unique thus adding little value, and older more senior people, or people not that hip to the contemporary music scene might not have accurate knowledge of what that entails, or might have misconceptions as to the connotations of that style of music. This is why I didn't include heavy metal in my resume. You never know who will read your resume. But again this is just my take on the issue.
