Reversed Interview: Appropriate Attire...

Finishing up studies and am doing some research, the qual side involves interviewing lots of PMs at large funds BR/FID etc. Some on phone, some on site.
My question, how lame is this, is about what to wear.
I am comfortable on the other side of the table, but when I am walking in to be the one asking them the questions I don't want to a) come across as a try hard douche in a full suit or b) show a lack of respect by not dressing formally enough.
Thinking dress shoes, suit pants and a shirt, open collar, no jacket. Seem fair enough?

It is a little thing, but considering these are the dominating figures in an industry I am looking to go into and stay in for a while I don't want to overcook/ undercook the first impression.

PS I know there is a Wall St Fashion thread but figure there is a better chance of anyone actually in AM roles being in this forum.
