Self-introduction
Hello all,
I have been a member here for a while, but have been more the lurker type, just reading and taking in as much as possible. For starters I will tell you, briefly, about myself.
I took a break after high-school because I was an idiot with no direction, then realized I did not want to work at a restaurant my entire life so I went to school. I am currently 23 and a Senior at a non-target who discovered finance my Junior year. I have been loving my classes and experience thus far. I have a 3.5 overall GPA, non good enough, but I am still proud of it considering I have brought it up from 3.0 after my Freshman year. To be honest I have not decided for sure which path I will take in investments, but I am loving my current position as an equity analyst intern for a boutique and hope to eventually make my way to Wall Street (may as well dream big right?). Aside from school, my experience is mostly in defense contracting, with my current internship being my first formal finance experience.
As of now my plan is:
1) GTFO of Florida, too hot, lived here too long
2) Work in a boutique somewhere above the Mason Dixon line for a few years
3) Ivy MBA
4) ?????
5) Profit.
I look forward to learning from everyone here and hopefully getting some further guidance of where to go.

3.5 from USF isn't going to get you to the Street without some pretty awesome luck and spectacularly effective networking. Might want to start studying for the GMAT and looking at an MSF. Talk to TNA, he knows all about the MSF jank.
Yeah, figured as much on the GPA which is why I am shooting for Wall Street as a more long term goal. Taking the GMAT this summer, got a 720 on the last practice I took. Would the MSF now be more beneficial than working at a boutique and pursuing an MBA from top schools in a few years? Appreciate the input
