Should I try to get a private equity internship this summer
I am currently a second year with the ultimate goal of entering investment banking. I previously interned for a small PE fund, and will soon start interning for a boutique investment bank. I plan to start cold calling/emailing for a summer internship soon. Given that my first internship was PE and my second internship will be IB, would it make sense to try and contact PE funds? How will banks view someone who went from a PE to IB back to PE in terms of internships? Will they think I am indecisive and can't make up my mind or will they just care that my internships were relevant?
y not just stay with the IB.
i should focus on getting a IB internship use PE as last resort. With all that experience you should be able to get a SA gig at a top ibank your junior year given you network, get good grades, etc.
i agree, only use PE as a last resort.
