skiing and snowboarding

Now everyone knows golf is huge when it comes to hobbies on wall street, and sometimes you have to take clients out on the course as well.

Has anyone seen people around being huge skiing or snowboarding fans, or taking out clients to the slopes?

Yes, skiing is pretty large, lots of older guys have houses in Vermont/Jackson. One of my bosses was on the us ski team board, which is one of the more respected ones on the street (check out their members, it is basically all named partners and extremely senior guys). Being a skiier, particularly a very good one, will certainly go over well.

On the other hand, snowboarding is for unemployed bums who can't dress themselves. There are some guys into it, but it won't get you as far.
