"Sleep advocates probably won't have to worry about orexin A reaching drugstore shelves for many years. Any commercial treatment using the substance would need approval from the Food and Drug Administration, which can take more than a decade."

Sadly...

"Sleep advocates probably won't have to worry about orexin A reaching drugstore shelves for many years. Any commercial treatment using the substance would need approval from the Food and Drug Administration, which can take more than a decade."

Yeah, I saw that, but I wonder if it will hit Europe or Canada sooner, or just appear illegally. Also, I'd be interested to learn more about this:

"He also said that modafinil, which is marketed as Provigil by Cephalon and Alertec in Canada, has become widely used by healthy individuals for managing sleepiness."

"When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead."

I'd be wary of messing with my REM cycles. Just because science has not yet figured out why we need sleep does not mean that we actually don't need it.

-------- Right now this is a job. If I advance any higher in this company, then this would be my career. And um... Well, if this were my career, I'd have to throw myself in front of a train.

^exactly. I wouldnt mind trying it in the mornings after a shitty night, but I would never take it to replace sleep, like the saying goes, if something seems too good to be true, it almost always is...

And at least we know why ibanking is "unnatural", it's because ibankers sit in front of a screen for 16 hours a day. With this drug we dont know everything.
