I received an interview from a BB for SA position. I thought SA positions were filled. What's going on?
Granted I have a very good background, I do not go to a 'target' University. More like non-target.

Happens. I even know of FT BB IBD positions that are still available. Sometimes a group would ask for new analysts and HR would give the green light later in the game.
yeah, i mean they obviously aren't just interviewing you for fun, so there are obviously still some spots open...just kill it!
I'd be interested to hear what bank is making calls soooooo late in the game.

Maybe some people went back on their acceptances and you were next up.
but generally there are people on hold who have already gone through the superday for this purpose...unless they had A LOT of people decline offers...
For future use, turns out I scored in the top 95% percentile on test scores.. haha that's why I got the interview..
