Taking the CFA® Level 2 Exam right after college graduation?
Is it possible? I think I ran across a thread on here that stated that you could petition to take the CFA®
Level 2 right after graduation? Is this true? Would in make sense to take Level 1 in June before senior year, or during December of your senior year, if it's true? Thanks for the help.
You would have to take Level 1 in December of your senior year, and then Level 2 in June right after graduation.
Possible, but difficult to do in that short of a time frame. Doing one exam isn't terrible, but two that close together is tough.
Taking Level 1 in December and Level 2 in June is possible and quite easy. Remember that you need about one month of full time study for each exam and even less if you are majoring in finance.
Or working full time... I am studying now as well as working full time. I wish I would have starting this process while I was still in school. You will have to give up some social aspect of school to get the hours in to be prepared for the test but I think that is better than taking it when you have a full time job. Plus you are in study mode already and you have good habits. Its harder to study after a 12 hour day, trust me.
I say go for it. It will make you that much more marketable. Plus I trust if you are taking CFA in college you are a finance major.
keep in mind you can't receive the CFA designation without 5 years of full time work experience.
CFA exam is not a joke, you have to focus well to get this title and also have lots of experience.

as far as whether being able to handle it or not is completely up to you.
