T.M. Lewin Shirts?

Does anybody own any of these shirts? How do they compare to Charles Tyrwhitt and/or Brooks Brothers (especially the slim fit ones)? They have a sale of 4 shirts for $144 compared to CT of 4 shirts for $199.

I agree Pink is better quality but their price ranges are not similar at all. Pink shirts, I believe, sell at $150 or thereabouts and are rarely on sale. TM Lewin may start at over 100 but to buy a Lewin shirt not on sale is retarded. Right now you get 4 TM Lewin shirts for the price of 1 Pink shirt.

If money isn't a problem, go with Pink. If you'd like a nice quality shirt but at less the money, TM Lewin, along with CT, are good quality shirts. Just my opinion of course.

I'm a fan of Saks 5th Avenue brand. They are a few dollars cheaper than PINK and you can catch them seasonally on sale for about 75% off. Also, they happen to be of the same quality as PINK, CT and TB. Lastly, the Saks sales they have in Manhattan happen to occur about every 3 months and you can get lucky and nab a Emernaldo Zegna white dress with double cuffs for $75, down from $420. Don't hate the department stores, but just my opinion.

CT is noticeably better than TML IMO. To tell someone to buy Pink over TML is to ignore the question; they're fundamentally different products. That's like telling someone asking about a VW that what they really need is a BMW.

TML is always having sales, as is CT - anything you buy from either should definitely be on sale. I'd go with CT or BB over TML every day- roughly equal quality, but CT tends to be slimmer cut, which is why I prefer it. If you're in the states though, I'd take J Press over either CT or BB - a tiny bit pricier, but not ridiculously so, and significantly better quality IMO.

By all means, step up to Pink when you're ready to drop $150 on a shirt. I do second the point about Saks though - their shirts are pretty good quality for the money if you find them on sale (usually around the end of every season).

Brooks Brothers slim fit are not slim at all- they fit like parachutes. I saw a fat guy (like Peter Gryffin fat) at BB asking for a slim fit shirt so that says something. Fucking fat Americans.

I just ordered several CT shirts at ~$40 each and they seem to be the best (out of CT, BB, and TML). Slimmest of the three and nicest fabric.

I guess I'll check out Saks and J.Press when I have the time.

Buying a slim fit shirt because you think it will make you look "slimmer" says more about the bizarro Peter Griffin than it does BB. I'm in pretty great shape and I like the shirts because they're the exact opposite of what you describe: less excess material, better fit.
