(Too) blue suit?
Hi everyone,
I just got a new suit this morning and while I absolutely love it, I am starting to wonder whether it's too blue for an IBD environment (this is not for an interview).
It is close to the following in terms of color:

What do you guys think?
not a work suit, no matter what industry, imo
Please no
absolutely not
Haha, fair enough. Thanks for the advice.
I nearly always say it doesn't really matter what you wear when people on here ask about spending thousands on an Italian brand, if this or that stripe is a shade too heavy, etc. Except for that suit. Unless you work in the fashion industry, that's not professional office material. Anywhere. Maybe Paris.
"Maybe Paris". Yeah, that's probably why. Looks OK to me but we might be a little more fashion-forward over here.
Yeah, it would be too much in London or NYC. Maybe, maybe London if you were a big swinging dick, a bit of a dandy and just didn't give a shit what anyone thought of you but in the more entry levels it just stands out, and not in a good way. I saw your name and thought it could work there actually. I met with a Parisian hedge fund manager who was wearing something pretty similar a few years ago but he was one of the top few guys. I couldn't say if it would be appropriate for younger guys in Paris though.
That would never fly in Paris either. Not too sure what you guys think Paris is...
Ça passe sans problème à Paris.
Tu as deja travaille en M&A a paris?
May be for a wedding..
Definitely not.
Will definitely not recommend unless you are in fashion industry.
Looks like a Pete Campbell season 1 suit. Just no.
For the record I just got it back from the tailor and it's actually by far not as blue as the pictures. Phew
