Too late to find summer work in Shanghai?

I'm an American student who has been living in Shanghai for the last year. I started looking for a summer position too late, and so far have only been able to land English teaching positions, which I doubt will help me much on my resume when it comes time for full-time. I'm Asian (not ethnic Chinese) who speaks Mandarin well but not business level, also coming from a non-target majoring in Finance, 1 year away from graduating. Is it possible to land anything decent now for the summer or is it too late? I've already gone the linkedin route and cold-emailing.

phaeocise: none of that shit
none of that shit works in china. you need to have massive connections to get any job. lol @ cold calling. i'd be surprised if any of them didnt cuss you out
I said cold-emailing, which I did get replies to but it was the usual "Sorry at this time we aren't offering any summer positions", and do you actually live/work in China?

It's possible to find
It's possible to find something. Use your family connections / alumni connections and keep at it. I know lots of ABC's who got internships late...
