i'd assume a lot of Citi analysts live across the bridge in bpc. a few GS people live in tribeca, but on the whole its really expensive. there are some more affordable (but still expensive) buildings that say they are in tribeca but are closer to chinatown than to hudson/w broadway.

Oh yeah, anything around that area is really expensive. I know some Citi analysts that live in the western FiDi and northern Battery Park, as well as the west village and Jersey City (ugh). Don't know how many of them walk it or what, but a friend of mine at Citi in M&A said of her first year: "The half-hour walk home at the end of the day was what kept me sane."

Heh! Four analysts in an apartment? Most apartments suitable for that level of sharing are older, north of Houston, and are dreadful shambles. Most apartments south of Houston are newer 1-2 BRs designed for young working professionals.

I can't imagine living like a rabbit in a warren, though. Why not get one roommate and share a 1-2 BR?

i have friends who have said they have heard of people paying 1200 a piece to live in a 2bdr in battery. Is the true? Is any one living in Battery or know what buildings this is done in? Most look nice from what i recall.

I don't know anyplace in Battery Park that's $2400 for a 2 BR. Maybe $3600 for three people in a 2BR, but definitely not $2400 for two in a 2BR.

Yes obviously, but I've always been told to live as close as you can to the office? Upper west/Flatrion the best places?
