Verbal offer but still haven't heard back
So i've gone through multiple rounds of interview with a MM i-bank over the past month. Last week I went into their office and they said they were down to 2-3 candidates. One of the guys I interviewed with said they were planning on hiring me and even discussed the terms of the offer that he planned to extend. Oddly enough no one else I spoke with showed the same certainty as him that I would receive an offer, but all had positive things to say to me.
I was told that I'd hear back in a week. It's been more than a week and I've sent a follow-up email didn't receive a response to that. I called this morning and left a message with the secretary but still haven't gotten a call back. In normal circumstances, I'd just assume that I got dinged and move on. However, I feel like their should be some kind of response esp, since i've gotten so far in the process and one individual basically gave me a verbal offer. Should I give it another call or email or just give up?

IMO you have no need to start
IMO you have no need to start worrying yet...a week really isnt that long, especially given the current environment. The process of getting a new hire's paperwork together, approvals, etc. can easily last longer than a week. I would relax and give it some more time.
