What to do for next year?
Hello,
I am a sophomore at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This semester, I tried unsuccessfully to get a Bulge Bracket I-Banking summer analyst position. I had interviews with a few major firms (Citi, JPMorgan, Merrill) and went on a Superday for Citigroup in Chicago. The closest I got to an offer was being named an alternate for Citigroup NY, which I am almost certain nothing will come from. Right now, I am in the process of interviewing for other positions in corporate banking and transaction services and have submitted my resume to a few MMs and Boutiques that still may be hiring.
I have always planned on graduating a year early because I will have all the requirements to fulfill my double major in Finance and Accounting by that time. However, I've recently contemplated staying for a fourth year and completing a degree in Economics and a Spanish minor or a Masters in Accountancy. Would it be best to apply to the BB I-Banks in the fall for full time consideration with the hopes they will be hiring for more positions or should I stay for the extra year and try again for internships next spring? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, if you have a 4.0
Honestly, if you have a 4.0 in FIN/ACCY and decent interviewing skills, you will get a FT offer next fall given that you don't botch your interviews.
