When's a good time to send reach out email to IB analysts (if at all)?
Hey everyone,
I am trying to prepare for FT recruiting for the next few months and I am trying to reach out to contacts via email to see if they would be available for a quick phone call to learn more about the firm and the culture since they won't be hosting info sessions/networking sessions at our school. With this I was wondering when would be a good time to email a 2nd-3rd year analyst? I understand that they filter emails like crazy since they are occupied and on the go all the time but I was just curious if there was an ideal time to contact them? I was planning to contact them tonight but I figured it wouldn't be a good idea simply because they would most likely read it at the peak of the week on Monday.
EDIT: Just a quick note, the alumni contact information was given on the full time job postings for various banks on our on campus recruiting system, I don't know how much this will affect their response rate since I never really met the person face to face through networking but I figured they released their contact information for that purpose, right?
who cares. just be reasonable. tues-thurs mid afternoons should work. don't sweat the small shit.
I've always sent my emails between 10 - 11am. Gotten a good response rate from this, seems to be late enough to beat the morning period of responding to last nights emails while being early enough that it avoids the period where work starts coming in from VPs / Associates.
