Which course should I take?

Hi!

I have to take one course from the other: psychology or philosophy. Which one do you think could benefit me more in IB/ finance in general? I know this is kind of an irrelevant question, but I honestly have no clue. On the other hand psychology could give me insight on the human mind and that way to the markets. But then again my favorite person in WS, Carl Icahn has philosophy as his major. Could it have helped made him so successful? Also Peter Thiel majored in philosophy.

Thanks!

It would depend on what interests you more. Psychology classes are more science-based while philosophy classes are more humanities based. I would personally lean more towards psych.

It doesn't matter, a literal monkey could perform the tasks of an investment banker. The only helpful curriculum consists of basic accounting and finance courses. A lot of morons in this industry try to promote the idea that investment banking is some intellectually demanding field, which flat out isn't true unless you are just lazy or have a below-average IQ.
