Looking for an NYC Address.
All:
I am in the process of applying for new banking positions and would like to move to NYC. I currently live on the west coast. The immediate issue I am going to run into when applying/ networking is being screened out against local/internal applicants that live in the NYC/ NJ/ Connecticut areas.
For the purposes of applying for a job is there a Monkey that I can borrow a safe NYC area address from. “Safe” means it is OK to receive a hard-copy offer letter at in the next three months or so. My last firm delivered a hard-copy letter plus a soft copy letter. Obviously, if I get an offer I would take a lease ASAP.
Let me know thanks.

Because I am RGE, the industry primers guys. Plus I can already rob and stalk anyone on the west coast. We can set up a time to talk to vet me. I am legit.

I will be the first one screened out. I have never seen a resume with a P.O. box, lol.
Use a UPS or Fedex mailbox.
Use a UPS or Fedex mailbox. It looks just like regular mailing address. They may also offer mail-forwarding service for an additional fee.
I can tell you how I made each of my millions - but not where I got the very first

I looked at places that have mailing address listed as street addresses and pretty much all of the locations are discoverable fronts when you google the address and often the address are on conspicuous streets like Park Avenue. So no go.

No one is Googling your address. Highly doubtful.
A lot of people do certain things to add days to their life. I do things to add life to my days.

If you want to work in banking in NYC, the address section of your resume isn't the part you should be focusing on.

It's a well established first principle that proximity matters when job hunting, going to meet and greets, and face-to-face informational interviews. Ceteris paribus, maybe a guy from the west can or has landed a NYC gig with a west coast address, but obviously the odds are less vs. a local candidate.

The H.R people are way too busy to spend time googling each applicant's address. There are literally thousands of Fedex/UPS stores all over NYC. You can find plenty that are not conspicuous. Also I dont think there is any Fedex store on Park Avenue, the rent would be ridiculously expensive. Are you sure it is not Park Avenue South?
