Struggling With Your Financial Career? Bloomberg Would Like to Hear Your Story
Has the recession affected your financial career? If you're a recent grad (2007 or later) and just starting out, or a current professional having trouble advancing further, Bloomberg would like to hear your story.
Here is the full description the reporter sent us of what they're looking for, and we thought it would be best to open it up to the WSO community for this interview opportunity.
I am a Bloomberg News reporter in Washington. We are publishing a series of articles on how the uneven recovery has affected Americans. The next installment is on young Americans, or Generation Y, ages about 21-30 for purposes of this article. We're trying to identify some recent graduates who are trying to launch financial careers in this environment, or have detoured into alternatives. We've got some pretty incredible tales of pain -- and optimism -- in the law and tech sectors. Wall Street Oasis seems to have picked the sweet spot for this particular story of ours. I wonder if you would have any recommendations of friends or colleagues I might speak to who came out of school 2007 and after, and saw their careers dampened, depressed or detoured because of the recession.
Email a quick summary of your story to [email protected], and if it matches what they are looking for I will forward it on to the reporter. Thanks!
