Investment Management Goldman Sachs vs Big 4 Consulting

Alright I am probably going to get a ton of heat for this post but I am really torn as to what I want to pursue. Currently I have received offers to do an investment management summer internship with Goldman Sachs as well as Management Consulting with PwC. I suspect that the investment management offer would be in the Private Wealth management area. I realize that these two internships are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. However, both intrigue me as they seem to require extensive client interaction. My questions are, what kind of people do PWM? Which one provides a more rewarding career?

Other useful information includes: I am a sophomore at Semi-target state school and am pursuing degrees in both finance & accounting.

I am struggling with the same decision. Though, I am a senior. I'll tell you what I have gathered so far: Having Goldman Sachs on the resume impresses people. Goldman is a powerful name. I would be willing to be you could get a consulting internship with PwC after working for Goldman, and it might be difficult going to Goldman after PwC. If you are a Sophomore, getting a FT offer shouldn't be on your mind right now. Take a position that will open doors for you. My vote goes to Goldman. Good luck OP! You're in a better position than I was Sophomore year with two offers.
