Deloitte's Clients and Industry Group

Long-time user on another name, but wanted to do this anonymously.

Has anyone heard of Deloitte's Clients and Industry (Industries?) Group?

I've been told it is a group to ensure better client experiences or something like this. Is this back office? Front office? Any details on the day to day work/life? Is this just a back office event coordinator or something? I did see the current Deloitte CEO came from the CI Group. Is it anything like management consulting? Do you do project based work? Or is it essentially an account manager?

Deloitte's C&I group is where the strategic account managers sit, as well as KM support and other support functions. These guys are essentially responsible for managing Deloitte's relationship with its important accounts. I'd describe it more as mid-office than back-office, but to my knowledge, unless you are a relationship (account) manager, you won't be interacting with clients, and you'll never be working on site at a client. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the info Boss, very helpful. Anyone else have experience with this? Are the exit ops any good? So if you're not interacting with clients but you're managing the relationship, what exactly are you doing? Is it just sending them care packages? haha
