Senior striking out

Hey everyone. I’m a senior at a target for consulting, who interned at a T2 consulting shop and did not get a return offer. I had interviews at MBB and I thought they went very well, but did not get offers there either. I’ve been in the interview process for small shops who have cut off recruiting during the middle of interviews, and I’m starting to realistically question what my remaining job prospects are? I’m consider everything from going to grad school, applying to the Peace Corps, and applying to startups. One thing I’m certain of is studying my ass off for the GMAT so I can get into a good MBA program in a few years and not fuck this thing up again.

With no consulting firms hiring at the moment and the next best alternative being FT positions in finance (many of which I’m under qualified for compared to the massive number of PE/IB interns who also didn’t get returns), I’m seriously at a loss for what my next steps are. I know hindsight is 20/20 and  what’s done is done, but I can’t help but feel like I squandered my opportunity this summer and have royally fucked my own career trajectory before I even graduated college. Makes me wondering what starting a career during the financial crisis must’ve been like.

Anyone in a similar boat? I’d appreciate any advice, blunt or encouraging, idc.

If you want help with case prep or other interviewing stuff im happy to help. just let me know

I used rocketblocks a lot, darden casebooks are also super legit

In the exact same boat here... said fuck it and started grinding finance technicals so I can at least get a job somewhere
