Career Resources
A) Hideous
B) If my analyst came in wearing $1000 Ferragamo's BEFORE they got their bonus (and it better have been good) I'd give them a whole lot of shit.
I sincerely hope not. They are horrendous
Save $920.01 and just get these:
hahahah ^
IBers (especially analysts) wearing double monks? dafuq. double monks are the definition of trendy and flashy...why would you ever wear them in as an analyst at an IB?
they are hideous. Stick with Cole Haan loafers or lower end Ferragamos.
double monks aren't hideous but I doubt they're "allowed" for analysts.
Double monks are approved #menswear.
I have no idea if they are ok for analyst´s, but people here (and most Americans in general) are very fashion blind. The monk strap is in right now and looks quite good.
I´m guessing that those that were shitting all over them have pleats in their suit pants? Don´t listen to them.
Just check what the company policy is. It would not surprise me if the investment banks only want classic lace-ups at the analyst level (not even loafers).
nah, you don't want your expensive shit to scream "EXPENSIVE!" So get these instead: http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolde…

Weird link. The shoe in the pictures is completely different than the shoe in the video. Nice job, Saks.
These look neat too http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolde… but might be "too much" already.
Bottom line: Ferragamo = Baller.
I dont think the average person could know a pair of shoes are 500-600 Ferragamos
actually you can easily get ferragamos for 2-3 times that price. but probably need to wait a few years before i can buy them without second-guessing myself afterwards =)
don't think theres anything wrong with single monks but double monks are pushing it....
I love men's fashion and I think those shoes are sexy- just not for an analyst. If your in finance, you better be a baller and dress fashionably everyday to pull those babies out (among your other countless pairs of awesome shoes and clothes). Even then, I'm not sure one's fashion sense translates over to their ability to do their job well so I would still play it safe and save the more fashionable looks for the weekend or Friday. If your an analyst, save your money, honey.
If you have to ask, then the answer is usually 'No'.
