Gucci Loafers with the Gold Bit vs Silver Bit

Hey so I've been working for a while and I figured that the time to get some really nice loafers has arrived. I like the black Gucci horsebit loafers with the silver bit a ton - I see em everywhere and the people in my office recommend I get them. However, Gucci's website only lists the ones with the gold bit, and on the dept store websites (Saks, BG, etc) the silver bit ones are all sold out.

I feel like getting the gold would be a bad move. Should I wait to see if they re-release their classic silver bit sleds or maybe check other brands like AE or Ferragamo? Will they even sell the silver bit ones again/is it like a seasonal thing?

Thanks in advance. This may be a dumb question but bear with me here.

I prefer the silver bit as all the metal on your body should match (in theory).

If you have a gold belt buckle, then the gold on the shoe is fine. I just find myself wearing silver/stainless much more often.

America's a big country - of course we have a fuck ton of poor and malnourished people. However, equating food insecurity with people who are actually starving to death is laughable. There's a huge difference between receiving inadequate nutrition (while having access to some of the most generous welfare programs in the world) or sometimes not having enough to eat and literally dying of starvation and malaria in a 3rd world hellhole. Not saying Africa is a bad place, just that there's more bad places concentrated in Africa.

It's your hard earned money, spend it on whatever the fuck you want!

To update everyone, I copped the gucci ones with all the fur coming out the back and was instantly bumped to MD and closed more deals (both kinds) than I can count. The Vatican is considering making me a saint.

Jk, I actually ended up buying AE Verona II's. I know they're not on the same level as Gamo or Gucci, but I bought pairs in brown and black and now not only have access to sleds, but have diversified my sled portfolio. I'll probably buy a nicer marquee pair once I work a while longer. Feel like I shouldn't have spent so much on shoes and instead saved the money in case I need it, but tbh I deserve something nice.

EDIT: To you sledless motherfuckers who are giving me MS, fuck off cuckboys.
