Who cares? It's obviously not investment related and not something you go to a hedge fund for.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

A couple of things:

1) Very hard to tell without a job description, different funds use these positions for different purposes

2) Not sure why it matters. Does the job interest you? Is this something you want to do?

3) I don't agree with Flake. Maybe this is something Flake would not join a hedge fund for, but different people enjoy different things; some people like the client side (i.e. sales or relationship management) some like the research side, others want to be able to make investment decisions.

There seems to be an obsession with FO roles here in WSO, regardless of what the actual role is, people just want to say it is FO, and to me, that is strange, but like I said before, we are all motivated by different things.
