L/S Equities

Hi,

I come from a top tier (GS/MS/JPM) IBD /industry coverage background and just started seriously considering HF (vs. PE).

Interviewing soon for a L/S Equities position and a basic question I would expect to get that is "Why L/S Equities specifically vs. Distressed or Activism etc." Any suggestions on how to think about that?

Thanks,
