Periodic Confusion

Hey guys, I need some advices from you experienced players.

Background:
I am currently interning at a boutique investment banks with ops, but a consulting role.
I am rising seniors with com sci and finance background and my school has good presence on the street.

I have 2 plans
1. take the return offer if that is the case, work for 2 -3 years and get a MBA, then go for HF.
2. leverage my internship experience with my other stories, go to top financial eng. program and apply for s&t/ER/IB(in Asia) /HF

I am really confused about which path I should consider to work my way up to HF. If you guys have valuable suggestions would much appreciate that. cheers.

If you can get into a top Financial Engineering program and can finance it without too much debt, I'd definitely go that way. Developers, data scientists and quants are in very high demand right now for HFs. I'd also apply for FT roles in the fields your interested in just to see what happens though.
